David Moffat

Meet David, a highly experienced insurance professional with a career spanning nearly five decades. Originally from Wellington, David began his journey in insurance in 1976 with Prudential Fire & General and, as he jokes, is still figuring out what he wants to do when he grows up.

Over the years, David has built an extensive and well-rounded career, working across underwriting, broking, reinsurance, systems development, and project management. Most recently, he held a senior Broking role as an Executive Director of a large New Zealand brokerage, advising corporate and multinational clients on their insurance programmes.

David has lived and worked across New Zealand and overseas, including time in the UK, Rotorua, Hastings, and Auckland, before recently settling in Papamoa.

Outside of work, David has always enjoyed sport, with a particular passion for cricket, and more recently golf. Family is a big part of his life, with two adult children, grandchildren, and his wife Su, who has a background in nursing and midwifery.

David brings a wealth of knowledge, perspective, and a down-to-earth approach to his work with clients.
