Sean Funtelar

Sean was born in the Philippines and raised in Mount Maunganui, where he has lived most of his life and attended Mount College. With a strong background in relationship management and business development, Sean brings valuable experience and energy to the team.

Before joining Financial Independence, Sean spent four years with a large brokerage as a Commercial and Agri Broker, where he developed a passion for portfolio management and helping businesses protect what matters most. Prior to that, he worked as a Business Development Manager in the automotive industry with BNT and Penske.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys staying active and making the most of the Bay lifestyle. He has a passion for anything that burns petrol, particularly motorbikes and cars, and also enjoys running, photography, and fitness. A keen traveller, he tries to get overseas at least once a year, with Japan sitting high on his list of favourite destinations.

Sean's approachable nature and strong commercial background make him a trusted adviser who enjoys building lasting relationships with his clients.
