About Philip Holland BMS, CFP, CLU

Philip started in the industry in 1998 and was one of the youngest advisers in New Zealand to achieve both the CFP and CLU designation. He is a previous winner of the Young Financial Planner of the Year award (2004) and the Tauranga Young Business Owner award (2010). He has completed the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Management Studies - Finance (BMS) 1999
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) 2002
  • Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) 2006

Philip manages Financial Independence as well as provides consultation on KiwiSaver and Business Risk Insurance. Philip is married and has three young daughters and resides on a small rural block. He is actively involved in the community and industry bodies including:
  • Institute of Financial Advisers (past local chairman)
  • Rocket - Young professional section of the Chamber of Commerce (current chairman)
  • Mentor for high school business students
